Clip In Extensions - From Catwalk to Salons
Within the industry of styling it is well known that clip-in extensions have been used for years. Clip- in extensions were the extension trade secret of the stylists that worked at photoshoots and catwalks! Hair extensions, whether applied with glue, bonds or sewn in all have related problems. Most importantly Clip-in extensions are the only type of extension that doesn't damage your hair in any way and they truly do look as fabulous and real as the other type of extensions currently available. After all they are made using the exact same beautiful quality hair as a glue extension system. The only difference is the use of a clip.
Glued extensions can snap your hair and make small bald patches. It's also hard to wash your hair and can be very uncomfortable at times. With clip-in extensions it’s easy to clip them on and off whenever/wherever you like. They also last a lot longer, where with bonded extensions you have to get them checked every 6 weeks or so and some don't even last 3 months. They can be very expensive and require high maintenance
Clip-in extensions enable you to dramatically change your appearance in a realistic way. I think the greatest advantage is being able to style the extensions in any way you would your normal hair. Before a model sets foot on a photoshoot the hair stylists are busy creating the perfect look. The models arrive, the hair is prepped, then clip in the extensions and off they trot to make-up.
Now that the clip in extension is so easily available to the public the trends you see on catwalks on in magazines are easily achievable to the masses. Saturday nights out see girls fashioning fabulous healthy looking hair more so than ever before. I think clip in extensions are here to stay for the long run, whether on set, in the salon or at home!
Models have been wearing hair extensions for the catwalk and photo shoots for ages. All make up artists tend to carry them around with them for amazing effects and volume.
Jordan's make up artist Sally Cairns bought five sets of clip 'n go hair extensions from me, from LA Blonde to Espresso. She is the best known make up artist in the glamour industry and also works with a lot of soap star's and pop band's. After shooting with me and applying my make up, she fell in love with my extensions, along with the value, the quality of the hair, the volume they gave and the quantity of pieces in a pack. Many of my models and models I’ve worked with have also bought Clip 'n Go extensions in many colours.
